NDIS Info & Resources

What is the NDIS?
The NDIS is a life-changing initiative by the Australian government to provide funding for people who require disability support. This allows you to continue living a life that’s fulfilling, as independently as possible. With NDIS support you can find disability-friendly accommodation, get help day to day, have access to suitable transport and physical aids, and you can also pursue an education and be employed. When you qualify, you will become an NDIS participant which means you will be able to choose from a wide range of service providers in your area who will assist you with the specific supports you require or refer you to specialists where necessary.
Will I Qualify For The NDIS?
Get To Know If You’re Eligible
The first step to getting started with the NDIS is to find out if you are eligible. Since the aim of the NDIS is to remove barriers of support for people living with disability, it is fairly simple to qualify. To be eligible, you should be between the ages of 7 and 65 and living with a permanent or significant disability that means you rely on others for support. You should also be living in Australia as an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or a protected Special Category Visa holder to be eligible for NDIS funding.
